The Lone Stars are going into their midweek match with the intention of beating the visitors and securing their first victory of the season, having lost the last six encounters between the two countries.

Conversely, Algeria made a strong start to their search for a spot in Morocco on Thursday, defeating Equatorial Guinea 2-0 at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium.
