The second leg of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON to be hosted by Morocco was wrapped up on Tuesday with 15 games.
The road to Morocco will see the first two teams in each group book their place in the tournament.
In Tuesday games, regning champions Ivory Coast recorded their second win at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde, the Elephants defeated Chad 2-0, with goals from Oumar Diakite and Jean-Philippe Krasso.

In the other evening match, Ryan Mendes scored twice to help Cape Verde defeat Mauritania 2-0 in Praia, securing second place in Group C.
Burkina Faso defeated Malawi 3-1 in Bamako, with to a brace by Lassina Traore, to overtake Senegal at the top of Group L.
Thanks to goals from Steve Mounie and Junior Olaitan in the second half of their 2-1 victory over Libya in Abidjan, Benin pulled within one point of Group D leaders Nigeria.
Kickoffs took place early in the evening, with Algeria and Egypt emerging victorious on the road against Liberia (3-0) and Botswana (4-0), respectively.
The Fennec Foxes won their second game in Group E thanks to goals from Amine Gouiri, Adem Zorgane, and Baghdad Bounedjah. In Francistown, Egypt won Group C with six points because to goals from Mohamed Salah, Mostafa Fathi, and Trezeguet.
With goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Shavy Babicka, Gabon defeated Central Africa Republic 2-0 at home to take the lead in Group B.
Mudathir Yahya’s late goal helped Tanzania overcome Guinea 2-1 on the road, and Kenya defeated Namibia 2-1 in Soweto (with goals from John Avire and Duke Abuya) to take the lead in Group J after Cameroon was held scoreless by Zimbabwe in Kampala.
In the afternoon games, South Africa defeated South Sudan 3-2 on the road in Juba, with to a second goal by Thalente Mbatha in injury time.
With this victory, South Africa and Uganda are now tied atop Group K.
Group D rivals Rwanda held Nigeria scoreless away in Kigali; Mali defeated Eswatini 1-0 away in Group I thanks to an early goal from Yves Bissouma; and Mozambique, who defeated Guinea-Bissau 2-1 in Maputo thanks to goals from Guima and Elias Macamo, joined them at the top of their group standings.
The Afcon qualifiers will resume in October with Matchday 3 and 4 fixtures.

Hosts Morocco is leading the group with six points from two games with Gabon and Central African Republic having three points while Lesotho rock bottom of the table with no point yet.

The Pharaohs of Egypt sits atop of the group with six points after a back to back win while Cape Verde and Mauritania occupy the second and third place respectively with three points.
GROUP D
Nigeria Super Eagles currently top Group D with four points while Benin Republic are second with three points.
GROUP E
With two wins from two games, the Dessert Foxes of Algeria sits comfortably as the group leader while Togo are second with two points.
Equatorial Guinea and Liberia have one point apiece to place third and fourth respectively.
GROUP F
Last year quarter finalist, Angola is topping the group with six points after picking a victory against Ghana away and a 2-1 home win against Sudan.
Despite losing to Angola, Sudan are placed second with three points ahead of Ghana who have just one point in third likewise Niger with also a point in fourth place.
GROUP G
Defending champions Ivory Coast two wins from two games earned them the top spot in the group.
Zambia are second with two points.
GROUP H
After claiming a back to back win, DR Congo sit atop of Group H with six points while Tanzania have four points.
Ethiopia 1-1 draw in their first game earned them a third place while Guinea are yet to get any point after two games.
GROUP I
Mozambique and Mali top the group with four points apiece while Guinea-Bissau have three points to place third.
GROUP J
Kenya and Cameroon jointly top the group with four points
GROUP K
The Cranes of Uganda and Bafana Bafana of South Africa jointly top the group with four point each.
Congo have three points while South Sudan rock bottom of the table.
