Head coach of Rwanda, Torsten Spittler, has praised his team for their outstanding performance in the match against Nigeria.

At Kigali’s Amahoro Stadium on Tuesday, the Amavubi managed to hold the three-time African champions to a scoreless draw.

Although the Super Eagles controlled the game, the hosts’ defence put up a strong fight.

Spittler was full of praise for his guys for accepting the task.

“I’m very happy not only because of the result but also the way we played. It’s always important that you make a good match, and then I said normally the results will come,” Spittler told reporters after the game.

“Everybody could see this Nigerian team, especially the forward line, is world-class, and we also had a few chances where you could see the difference between our strikers and their strikers.”
