”After much thought and consideration, I am hereby resigning my position as Head Coach of the Super Falcons.
“This will allow the NFF ample time to find the next manager to take over this incredible squad.”
On October 5, 2020, Waldrum was named the head coach of the Super Falcons.
Three years prior, the former Trinidad and Tobago tactician turned down the position.
At the 2022 Africa Women’s Nations Cup in Morocco, he led the squad to fourth place.
Even so, the Super Falcons performed admirably at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, losing to England in the Round of 16 on penalties.
However, in the women’s football competition at the 2024 Olympic Games, the nine-time African champions were unable to go past the group stage.
