Bayer Leverkusen and Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has stated that he did not intend for his first-goal celebration to enrage the Hoffenheim supporters.
With two goals and one assist in Bayer Leverkusen’s 4-1 thumping of Hoffenheim at PreZero Arena on Saturday, Boniface was the team’s hero.

When Boniface scores, he typically leaps, punches the air, and sprints funny to the corner flag.
However, the Super Eagles player raced to the corner flag this time, undid his shorts, and began to dance.
He gave the crowd a funny look as well.
After the game, he stepped out to explain his conduct, which seemed to be an attempt to bant Hoffenheim.
He claimed that he promised a Nigerian influencer that the he would celebrate him.
“I didn’t want to provoke anyone, I did it in front of our fans.
“It’s a TikTok trend from a big influencer in Nigeria.
” I promised him I would celebrate like that, I just hadn’t scored yet,” Boniface said.
