Dennis Bonaventure, a winger for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, was the most notable person left off the list.

This summer, Dennis came back to the City Ground following the conclusion of his loan with Watford FC of the Championship.

Dennis’ name was noticeably absent from the official list, which was released by the previous European champions.

Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi were the only ones to make the cut for the upcoming season.
