Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday two between Heartland and Rivers United is scheduled for this Saturday.

The game, which is scheduled to take place at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, will be centred around former Super Eagles stars Finidi George and Emmanuel Amuneke.

Earlier this year, Finidi was appointed as the of head coach of the Super Eagles where he played only two competitive games.

But, Finidi resigned from his position after just two games in order to set up camp with Rivers United.

With a 0-0 tie at Bendel Insurance, Rivers United opened the new campaign.

After goalkeeper Bamidele Adeniyi was sent off early in the second half, the Pride of Rivers battled valiantly to win a share of the spoils.

Heartland’s season-opening match against eastern rivals Enyimba ended in a 3-1 loss at home.
