Victor Osimhen made his debut for Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday with a 5-0 trouncing of Rizespor.

Although he only recently joined on loan from Napoli, Osimhen was named in the starting lineup.

In the 25th minute, Osimhen nodded a ball that appeared to be headed for the net, but Abdulkerim Bardakci of Galatasaray got his foot to it just before it entered the net, giving Osimhen credit for the assist.

Galatasaray took the lead in the third minute through former Tottenham player Davinson Sanchez, and on the 49th minute, Gabriel Sara made it 3-0.

Dries Mertens, a former star of Napoli, made it 4-0 on minute sixty-one, and with ten minutes remaining, Baris Yilmaz added the fifth goal.

With the victory, Galatasaray moved up to the top of the league standings with 12 points, barely two points ahead of Fenerbahce.
