Uncategorised Super Sub Sancho Assist Earns Chelsea Second Away Win

Jadon Sancho came off the bench to help Chelsea defeat Bournemouth 1-0, setting up Christopher Nkunku’s game-winning goal in the 86th minute on the south coast.

After a conflict with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag in the previous campaign, Sancho did not play in the Premier League for a full year.

This summer, he resolved his differences and signed a loan with the Blues on transfer deadline day.

At Vitality Stadium, Enzo Maresca had witnessed Chelsea’s early struggles.

Only Robert Sanchez’s penalty save against Evanilson after 38 minutes kept the game scoreless at halftime.

After the break, Maresca resorted to Sancho before substituting Nkunku.

The French forward’s late goal gave the new Blues manager a razor-thin second Premier League victory.
