Young Africans coach, Miguel Gamondi, has asked his team to give their all in Saturday’s return leg CAF Champions League encounter against CBE at the New Amaan Sports Complex in Zanzibar.
Yanga won the away leg by a slim 1-0 margin. “After the first leg match, we now need to recover and focus on the next fixture. We have another 90 minutes to determine our fate,” he said as quoted by Daily News.
“Of course, I was not happy with the performance of my team due to the fact that we missed many scoring opportunities.
“Our target was to seal group stage qualification in Ethiopia. I cannot explain why we missed so many scoring chances.
“It was unbelievable not to utilise them well; we could have even scored seven easy goals during the encounter. To me, winning 1-0 is not enough. But this happens in football sometimes.”
