FIFA U17 WORLD CUP FIFA U17: President Ruto flags off Kenya’s Junior Starlets for World Cup

The Kenya U17 National women’s Football Team was officially handed over the flag by the President William Ruto as they depart for International Camp in Spain for three weeks before heading to World Cup in the Dominican Republic.

In a message on his social media pages, President Ruto said: “The Junior Starlets have our unequivocal support as they compete in the historic World Cup soccer. Make our country proud, break more barriers and come back home with the trophy.”

The 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup will take place from October 16 to November 3, 2024. The Junior Starlets will kick off their group stage matches on October 18 against England.

They will face Korea DPR on October 20, and complete their group fixtures on October 24 against Mexico.

This will be the Junior Starlets’ first appearance at the World Cup, and the team remains focused on representing Kenya with pride.
