Italian club AS Roma has announced the dismissal of its coach Daniele De Rossi, just a few months after he took office.
While Roma spent almost 100 million euros to bring in players like Artem Dovbyk, Enzo Le Fée and Matias Soulé, the first steps of the club from the Italian capital are quite disappointing, with three draws and one defeat in the first four Serie A matches. Enough to push the management to take a drastic decision and get rid of its coach, Daniele de Rossi.
“AS Roma announces that it has relieved Daniele De Rossi of his position as head coach of the first team. The club’s decision is adopted in the interest of the team, in order to be able to quickly get back on the right track, at a time when the season is only just beginning. “To Daniele, who will always be at home at the club, a big thank you for the work he has done in recent months with passion and dedication,” the club said in its statement.
Daniele de Rossi had been Roma coach since January and finished sixth last season.
