Two days after Dinamo Zagreb suffered a 9-2 thrashing at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League, the Croatian club announced the dismissal of its coach, Sergej Jakirović.

His assistant Sandro Perković will be in charge of the first team until a decision is made on whether or not to bring in a coach.

“We thank Sergej Jakirović from the bottom of our hearts for everything he has given for our club and wish him the best of luck in his future career. We hereby call on the media and the public to show understanding towards Sergej Jakirović and his family and not to aggravate an already stressful situation.
