FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP FIFA Reveals Fixtures For Intercontinental Cup

The world football organisation announced on Friday that Real Madrid, the winners of the European Champions League, will play in the final of the first Fifa Intercontinental Cup, which will feature five matches and be open to clubs worldwide.

The final will take place in Doha on December 18. The competition, which was revealed in December of last year, will take the place of the Club World Cup, which will now take place every four years starting in 2025 and feature 32 teams.

Champions League winners of the AFC In the African-Asian-Pacific Cup playoff, Al Ain will first host Auckland City, winners of the OFC Champions League, on September 22.

The victors will then play CAF Champions League winners Al Ahly in Cairo on October 29.

Locals will be able to witness their club play in the first two games, which will take place on the higher-ranked team’s home field.

The match, dubbed the “Derby of the Americas” by FIFA, takes place in Doha, Qatar on December 11 between the Mexican team Pachuca, the champions of the CONCACAF Champions Cup, and the 2024 CONMEBOL Libertadores.

The winners of these two games square off against one another in the Challenger Cup three days later for a chance to face Real Madrid in the Intercontinental Cup Final on December 18.

On this day, which is also commemorated as Qatar’s National Day, Argentina defeated France in the 2022 World Cup final two years ago.
