Enyimba defeated Burkina Faso’s Etoile Filante 3-2 on penalties shootout to proceed to the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.

At the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, both teams fought to a scoreless draw.

There was also a barren draw in the opening leg in Bamako.

Three of their spot kicks were converted by Enyimba, while two were scored by Etoile Filante.

The last remaining Nigerian team on the continent is Yemi Olanrewaju’s team.

The People’s Elephant hopes to win the CAF Confederation Cup and become the first Nigerian club to do it.
