ZESCO United continued their impressive start to the season with a thrilling 2-1 away victory over Nchanga Rangers at the fully-packed Nchanga Stadium in Chingola on Sunday.

The win extends ZESCO’s unbeaten record to five games, solidifying their position at the top of the table with 13 points.

New acquisition Amine Hiver stole the show with a stunning brace, earning him the Fans’ Player of the Match Award. Hiver netted his first goal in the 18th minute, and Nchanga Rangers’ Laurent Mwanza equalized three minutes later.

Hiver sealed the win with his second goal in the 68th minute.Interim Head Coach Emmanuel Siwale’s side has recorded four wins and one draw in five matches, showcasing their trademark possession-based football and relentless pressure.

ZESCO’s Assistant Coach Clive Hachilensa praised his team’s effort, saying, “We started slow but managed to score a brace. We did everything we planned for, especially since we’ve been scoring only one goal, and today we recorded two goals.”
