Chelsea defeated Barrow 5-0 to cruise into the Carabao Cup’s fourth round, thanks to a hat-trick from Christopher Nkunku.
At Stamford Bridge, Nkunku gave the Blues the lead with a superb double early on, and Paul Farman’s own goal after a Joao Felix free kick made it three before halftime.
Soon after the game resumed, Pedro Neto added a fourth goal against the team that was leading League Two at the time but was 63 spots below Chelsea in the standings.

Nkunku subsequently completed his trifecta in the 75th minute following a mistake by Farman.
Chelsea seized the lead after just eight minutes thanks to a combination from Joao Felix and Nkunku.
The former ducked one over the Barrow defenders, which the latter ran onto and volleyed home low for the first time.
After fifteen minutes, Nkunku scored his second goal with a beautiful flicked heel finish after Malo Gusto’s ball in from the right.
Felix’s free kick went in just before the half-hour mark when it struck the post and then ricocheted off the unfortunate Farman, the goalkeeper and went inside the net.
Chelsea continued to exert pressure as they swiftly added a fourth goal following the interval.
After a defensive blunder by Barrow, a swift counterattack saw Mykhailo Mudryk square the ball for Neto to score the team’s opening goal.
Then, Nkunku completed his hat-trick, making it five after Farman slipped while attempting to grab the ball away from the striker, allowing Nkunku to slide the ball into an empty net.
