Announced in many big European clubs like Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has finally taken the direction of Galatasaray. A surprising operation; a dry loan of one season with partial payment of the salary by the Istanbulites, and a big coup for the latter.
The 25-year-old striker has also started his Turkish adventure well, since even if he has not yet scored; he started with two victories including a 3-1 success against Fenerbahçe. He still distributed an assist in each of his matches, and showed the extent of his talent and his ability to hurt opposing defenses. A successful debut therefore, which pushed Ibrahim Hatipoglu, vice-president of Galatasaray, to offer himself a strong media release at the microphone of Spor Kazani.
Indeed, some media had mentioned the existence of a clause allowing the striker to leave the club in January, in the event that a big European club were to come forward in particular.
“There is no possibility that Osimhen will leave us in January. Moreover, we are working so that he still plays here next season. He will be a Galatasaray player until June. Talking about these things only serves to attract attention and spoil the pleasure of seeing Osimhen play,” explained the manager.
