Enyimba FC defeated Lobi Stars in a rescheduled Matchday 2 in the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL to claim their second win of the season.

The Peoples Elephant fresh from booking their place in the money spinning CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage after a 3-2 penalty won against Etoile Filante, hosted Lobi Stars at the Enyimba Stadium.

The Yemi Olarewanju tutored side wasted no time in taking the lead just 13 minutes of play through Ufere Chinedu.

The hosts doubled their lead two minutes later through Eze Ekwutoziam who scored from the spot.

Enyimba could have made it 3-0 in the 26th minute after a beautiful buildup from the back which saw Clinton Jephta forced Lobi Stars goalkeeper to make a save to deny the hosts for extending their lead.

Waheed Adebayo reduced the tally for Lobi Stars in the 37th minute heading to the break.

Enyimba dominated the second half as both team failed to score in the second half.
