The suggestion of the Technical and Development Sub-Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation’s Executive Committee was adopted on Thursday, allowing Coach Augustine Eguavoen, the Federation’s Technical Director, to continue leading the Super Eagles.
Next month, under Eguavoen’s leadership, the Super Eagles will play Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification round.
The three-time African champions defeated Benin Republic 3-0 and drew scorelessly with Rwanda in Matchdays one and two earlier this month under the temporary leadership of the 58-year-old, who has previously captained the team three times.

The present technical team, which also consists of Fidelis Ilechukwu, Daniel Ogunmodede, Olatunji Baruwa, and Tomaz Zorec, will continue to collaborate with Eguavoen.
In addition, they will be in charge of the Super Eagles B team during the CHAN qualification campaign for the African Nations Championship, which is held the following year.
On Friday, October 11, the Super Eagles will play the Mediterranean Knights at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Four days later, they would play the North Africans at Benina.
