Africa Soccer CAF Super Cup: Al Ahly focus at the peak but ‘we have respect for Zamalek’ – El-Shennawy

Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawy has given his thoughts ahead of their CAF Super Cup clash against rivals Zamalek in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

Speaking ahead of the clash at at Kingdom Arena on 27 September 2024, he said: “This isn’t our first time playing in Saudi Arabia, and we’re always treated well here. We’re ready for the match, and I constantly remind the team to respect every opponent.

“We always respect our opponents, and with Zamalek, it’s no different. Our focus is at its peak, and we’re determined to win.”

Additionally, right-back Mohamed Hany shared his thoughts with Al Ahly’s official website, saying: “Our only goal is to win, regardless of who plays. The team that makes fewer mistakes and stays more focused will come out on top.”

“Games against Zamalek are always different, and past results don’t matter. We’ve learned from last season, and everyone is fully focused on bringing home the trophy.”
