FC Barcelona has finally found Marc-André ter Stegen’s replacement. While Keylor Navas’ name has been circulating in recent days, the former Real Madrid goalkeeper will not be joining the Blaugrana club, which has preferred Wojciech Szczęsny.
The former Polish international, who played 252 games with Juventus before retiring, will put his boots back on and head to Spain.
According to Sport, the 34-year-old goalkeeper is even in Marbella to be in top physical shape. He will join Barcelona on Sunday afternoon or Monday.
The first part of his medical will take place on Monday. If it is successful, he will officially sign with the Catalan club.
