Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies continued their incredible run of form in the Hollywoodbets Super League in Tuesday’s clash against First Touch, securing a comprehensive 5-0 victory at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Nthabiseng Majiya and Boitumelo Rabale both scored brilliant braces, with Asanda Hadebe also getting in on the action. The five-star performance ensured their 12th straight victory and their 23rd in a truly remarkable campaign.
Majiya, who has been dazzling in her debut season with Banyana Ba Style, praised the team’s collective performance. “To be honest, I am really happy with how we played. We controlled the game from start to finish, took our chances and executed our game plan perfectly. There were a lot of combination passes and we kept finding space to break through their defense. It was a total team effort and I could not have asked for more from the girls.”
Nonhlanhla Mthandi also shared her thoughts on the victory, saying, “We know away games are always tricky and we were aware that our opponents would be tough, but we made the most of our opportunities as the game unfolded.
“As for my performance, I felt good out there today. I have been working on improving certain aspects of my game, and it is great to see that effort paying off on the pitch.”
The Brazilians have now amassed 71 points this season, with an impressive 23 wins in 25 matches. They lead the league with 91 goals scored while conceding just 12, showcasing the league’s strongest defense.
Remarkably, the team is only four goals shy of last season’s total of 95.Nthabiseng Majiya and Boitumelo Rabale remain at the top of Sundowns Ladies’ scoring chart with 14 goals each.
