Head coach of Rivers United, Finidi George, has expressed gratitude for his team’s strong start to the current campaign.
At the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Sunday, Finidi orchestrated Rivers United’s 2-0 triumph over his former team, Enyimba.
The former Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) winners have won three of their four opening games and drawn one. Right now, with 10 points, The Pride of Rivers is ranked second on the standings.

“We are quite happy with our run in the League even if not 100%
perfect,” Finidi told SportsBoom.com.
“Every game is difficult in the NPFL people don’t know.
“They just feel that if you get a draw, you would have won it.”
Finidi also praised the players’ performances for their impact during their excellent run of form.
“I must commend my boys so far for the unbeaten run in the league,” he added.
In their next NPFL match on Sunday, Rivers United will visit a struggling Akwa United.
