Nigeria Premier League NPFL: Rangers Beat Bayelsa To Return To Winning Ways

Defending Champions Enugu Rangers returned to winning ways with 1-0 win over Bayelsa United in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL game on Thursday.

After losing to Remo Stars in Ikenne last weekend , Fidelis Illechukwu and his lad put on their winning mentality to get back on track.

However, it was substitute Isaac Saviour who came off the bench and grabbed the winning goal.

Saviour fired home from inside the box 20 minutes from time.

It was the forward’s first goal for the Flying Antelopes this season.

After their most recent victory, the holders of the title moved up to sixth place on the table.

On Sunday, Rangers and Abia Warriors will play an oriental derby.
