Augustine Eguavoen has called up several talents for Nigeria’s doubleheader 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya, including Victor Boniface, Chidera Ejuke, and Ademola Lookman.
Later this month, the Super Eagles will play Lybia in a doubleheader as they continue their quest for a 2025 AFCON ticket.
Remember that when the qualifications began in September, Nigeria got off to a strong start, defeating Benin 3-0 in Uyo and then holding Rwanda scoreless in Kigali.

By defeating Lybia this time, the Super Eagles hope to demonstrate their superiority in group D.
The 23-man shortlist for the doubleheader has been announced by interim coach Eguavoen.
After spending two years away from the Super Eagles, Sevilla player Ejuke is one of the team’s most noteworthy signings.
The regular member of his club squad, Kelechi Iheanacho, will be going with him.
Victor Osimhen was left out owing to an injury sustained at Galatasaray, but in-form Boniface will try to fill the void.
Tosin Adarabioyo, a defender for Chelsea, has been mentioned as a possible call-up.
But there’s no room for him because the usual suspects, such Captain William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi, and Calvin Bassey, have their places.
