After defeating Niger Tornadoes 2-0 at home in a Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday Five match on Sunday at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, Heartland FC secured their first victory of the season on Sunday.
Before the match, the Naze Millionaires had only won three of their four games, with one tie and three losses.
However, Michael Ogu, making his club debut, scored twice for the youthful Owerri team, one in each half.

Heartland Technical Manager, Emmanuel Amuneke, made two changes to the team that was defeated 1-0 by Shooting Stars two weekends ago.
Ikwu Ejike was added in lieu of Olanrewaju Molade Ojo, who was injured, while Chukwuma Agor was moved to the bench in favour of Ogu.
At first, the game was balanced, but because they had more seasoned players, the visitors were the first to put in more effort.
On the rare times when the Ikon Allah Boys threatened, Heartland was able to sell off the threat.
After excellent work by Christian Molokwu, whose cross was headed in at the second post by Ogu, Heartland took the lead in the 20th minute.
The goal sent the stadium into a frenzy, and the spectators were ecstatic.
Unbeaten tornadoes attempted to square the score prior to the tie, but their attack lacked coordination.
The same player, Ogu, scored Heartland FC’s second goal in the 60th minute by sliding the ball past Tornadoes goalie, Emmanuel Iwu.
Heartland FC won 2-0 to get to four points from five games ahead of their exhausting trip to Maiduguri this weekend as guests of El Kanemi Warriors.
