This Thursday at 6pm, the Democratic Republic of Congo will face Tanzania in the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations. But before the match, the Congolese team must face a huge controversy.
Indeed, a member in charge of the security of the national team violently attacked a journalist according to Sport News Africa. He allegedly hit Gede Luiz Kupa (the journalist who was attacked, editor’s note) with a firearm.
The latter, very shocked while he was only attending the 15 minutes of training open to the media, reacted: “I am so shocked by this scene and I hope that CAF will find a solution.”
The journalist, who intends to file a complaint, was supported by several colleagues, who are expected to boycott post-match media activities this evening and who are waiting for a public apology for their colleague.
