Gambia snatched a late goal to draw 1-1 against Madagascar in their third match of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on Friday.
In the Group A fixture at Stade Larbi Zaouli, Madagascar had scored first in the 45th minute courtesy of Clement Couturier but the Scorpions levelled matters through Yankuba Minteh in the last minute of the game to snatch a vital point.
After a strong start for the home team, they were forced to wait until the a minute to the half-time break when Couturier found himself alone inside the box to head home the opener.
The draw left Madagascar in second on the table with three points, two less than leaders Tunisia while the Gambia remained last with two points. Tunisia are due to play Comoros, who are third on the pile with two points.
