Chad National Team coach Kevin Nicaise says pressure is on Zambia to win Friday’s Group G Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
And captain Marius Mouanldimadji says the Les Sao are ready to get a positive result against Zambia on Friday when the two sides square off.
Speaking during the pre-match press briefing at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Nicaise said; “It is a great shame if Zambia does not beat Chad.”
“Everything is going to happen in the next five days, it is going to be decisive for both teams, for Zambia and for us,” he said.
“I think that Zambia has more pressure than us because if they do not win against Chad it is a shame. Let’s be honest, we are here to fight until the end, let us hope to make a result.”
Nicaise said Chad was fighting for second position in the group as Ivory Coast had run away with the top spot.
“The thing is that we have to reach the second place, first game was 0-0 against Sierra Leone away from home. For us it was already a good point, against Ivory Coast we lost 2-0, they were better than us. This kind of game everything has to be perfect for you and not perfect for the opponent that was not the case. Even with one point from six we are still in the race to be qualified.”
And skipper Mouanldimadji said Chad would give it best against Zambia on Friday. The Les Sao and Chipolopolo square off on Friday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium at 15:00 hours.
