African players abroad Baba Rahman Rescues Point for PAOK with Last-Gasp Goal in 2-2 Draw Against Viktoria Plzen

Baba Rahman scored a dramatic equalizer deep into stoppage time to help PAOK secure a 2-2 draw against Viktoria Plzen in a thrilling encounter. The Ghanaian left-back struck in the 94th minute, capping a spirited second-half comeback after PAOK had fallen two goals behind in the first half.

The game began with Viktoria Plzen on the front foot, and they thought they had taken an early lead in the 4th minute when Adu found the back of the net. However, the goal was ruled out for offside, denying the Ghanaian his moment of glory. But Adu didn’t stay quiet for long, turning provider in the 31st minute when his precise pass set up Havel, who made no mistake in slotting the ball home to give Plzen the lead.

Just eight minutes later, the home side doubled their advantage. Czech forward Matěj Vydra latched onto a through ball and coolly finished past the PAOK goalkeeper, sending the hosts into halftime with a commanding 2-0 lead.

PAOK emerged from the break with renewed determination, and it was Tarik Tissoudali who sparked the comeback in the 68th minute. The Moroccan forward finished off a well-worked team move to reduce the deficit to 2-1, giving his side hope of salvaging something from the match.

As the game approached its final whistle, PAOK piled on the pressure, and in the dying moments of stoppage time, their persistence paid off. Baba Rahman, who had ventured forward in search of the equalizer, found himself in the right place at the right time. A cross into the box caused chaos in the Plzen defense, and Rahman reacted quickest to poke the ball into the net in the 94th minute, rescuing a vital point for the Greek side.

The 2-2 draw leaves PAOK with plenty to build on, as Baba Rahman’s late heroics ensured they avoided defeat in a hard-fought match.
