In Lagos, debutants Ikorodu City FC easily defeated Rivers United at home to ruin their undefeated streak.

In the 48th minute, Ayomide Cole scored his first goal of the season by tapping in a close-range cross to put the Oga Boys ahead.

When Ajeyigbe Toyeeb played a lovely ball for Rivio Ayemwenre, who skilfully sent the ball in with cool composure in the 53rd minute, the home team doubled their lead.

Michael Ibe’s only goal in Ikenne gave Remo Stars the victory over Lobi Stars.

In Minna, Niger Tornadoes upset Shooting Stars 2-0, and Godwin Obaje’s brace for Rangers International made sure Nasarawa United went home without a win.

In the Oriental Derby, Heartland FC got the better of Abia Warriors with a comfortable 2-0 away win at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

It is the first time that Hearland will win away from home in Abia.

Bendel Insurance defeated Sunshine Stars 1-2 away from home while Kano Pillars secured a late win over Plateau United, thanks to Ahmed Musa goal which earned Pillars the maximum point.

Akwa United won by 2-1 against Kwara United while Enyimba FC held Bayelsa United to a stalemate in Yenegoa. El-Kanemi Warriors extended their unbeaten run by beating Katisna United 1-0.
