Europe Benjamin Mendy Wins Employment Tribunal Case Against Manchester City

Benjamin Mendy, a former Manchester City Football Club player, recently won a significant legal victory after a long-standing dispute over unpaid wages. Mendy had taken his case to the Employment Tribunal, claiming that Manchester City had made unlawful deductions from his wages over a period of 16 months and 23 days.

The tribunal ruled in Mendy’s favor, upholding the main part of his claim and validating his contention that the club had unlawfully withheld his pay. After a grueling wait of three years to receive his due wages, Mendy expressed relief and gratitude. He now hopes that Manchester City will honor the tribunal’s decision by promptly paying the outstanding wages and any other amounts due under his contract.

In a statement, Mendy thanked his family, agent Meissa N’diaye, and his legal team — comprising Nick De Marco KC, Laffer Abogados, and Fletcher Sports Law — for their steadfast support throughout the case. This victory allows Mendy to finally move past a difficult chapter in his life, and he looks forward to putting this challenging experience behind him.
