AFCON Togo Announces Squad AFCON Qualifiers Against Liberia and Equatorial Guinea

Togo’s national football team coach, Dare Nibombé, has announced the official squad for the upcoming international matches against Liberia and Equatorial Guinea. The roster includes a balanced mix of experienced players and young talents, all set to represent the “Éperviers” (Sparrowhawks) in the AFCON qualification campaign.

The squad features three goalkeepers: Malcolm Barcola, Mahadihou Sama, and Achirafou Yaya, each bringing strong defensive skills between the posts. The defense line includes seasoned players such as Gustave Akuesson and Dakonam Djene, alongside rising stars like Kevin Boma and Sadik Fofana.

In the midfield, Evra Agbagno, Roger Aholou, and Khaled Narey will look to control the game, while Alaiys Romao and Marouf Tchakei add depth and creativity.

The attacking lineup showcases some of Togo’s best talents, including Yaw Annor, Kévin Denkey, and Kodjo Laba, known for their scoring abilities. They are joined by Franck Mawuena, Mansour Ouro-Tagba, and Fessou Placca, forming a formidable offensive unit aiming to bring success to Togo.

Togo is set to face Liberia on November 13, 2024, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia, followed by a home match against Equatorial Guinea on November 17, 2024, at Stade de Kégué in Lomé. These games are crucial for Togo’s qualification journey and their hopes of reaching the next Africa Cup of Nations.
