Manchester United Amorim Declares Readiness For Man United Challenges

Ruben Amorim, the new head coach of Manchester United, stated that he is aware of the challenge that awaits him when he relocates from Portugal to England, but he is excited about the challenge.

Amorim, 39, is scheduled to join the Premier League team on Monday from Sporting, with a deal that will last until June 2027.

The club announced Amorim’s appointment earlier this month.

Amorim, who takes over for fired Dutchman Erik ten Hag at United, won a 4-2 comeback victory against Braga on Sunday to celebrate his last game as Sporting’s coach.

I feel ready for the new challenge,” he told reporters after the match.

“I’m not naive, I know it’s going to be very different, very difficult.

“I’m at peace now, I can focus on my new job and I’m looking forward to starting tomorrow.”

Amorim, who is regarded as one of the most talented young managers in Europe, will play his debut game on November 24 against Premier League promotion Ipswich Town.

With 15 points from 11 games, United is now in 13th place in the league, four points behind Chelsea in third place.

Since Ten Hag’s dismissal on October 28, interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has led the team to three victories and a draw across all competitions.

“I know it will be difficult to reproduce what I have here elsewhere, but there are other places with different exposure and pressure .

It’s been a fantastic adventure,” said Amorim, who has won the Primeira Liga twice with Sporting.

“I apologise for this mid-season decision, but I felt it was my time and my way.”
