Niger and Sudan have met three times. The statistics are in favor of Sudan, which has emerged victorious on two occasions, while, Niger did so in the remaining match.
After missing out on the most recent edition in Côte d’Ivoire, Sudan began its quest to participate in the next African Cup with a good win over Niger. Although they then lost to Angola, the team achieved surprising results in the double-header against Ghana in October and collected four of the six points at stake.
Now, James Appiah’s side need only one point from the six they have left to play for this November to secure their place at the Africa Cup of Nations. However, they must be careful not to suffer any surprises.
