Nigeria Premier League NPFL: Babaganaru Steps Down As Akwa United Head Coach

The head coach of Akwa United, Mohammed Babaganaru, has left his position with the Promise Keepers.

Following Akwa United’s 1-1 loss to Bendel Insurance at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium this evening, he announced his retirement.

A terrible start to the 2024–2025 Nigeria Premier Football League, or NPFL, season has left the Promise Keepers mired in the relegation zone.

He has joined players like Bright Ozebagbe, Monday Odigie, and Kennedy Boboye, who quit their positions with Sunshine Stars, Bendel Insurance, and Ikorodu City FC, respectively, during the current campaign.
