Nigeria NFF Unveils Eric Chelle As Super Eagles Head Coach

The Super Eagles of Nigeria’s new head coach, Éric Sékou Chelle, has been formally introduced.

At the Moshood Abiola Stadium conference room in Abuja on Monday, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) introduced Chelle to the media.

NFF President Ibrahim Gusau, Secretary General Mohammed Sanusi, and National Sports Commission (NSC) Chairman Shehu Dikko were among the dignitaries that attended the unveiling ceremony.

The former defender is bringing three backroom employees with him: Hadi Taboubi, the first assistant; Thomas Gornourec, the fitness trainer; and Jean Daniel Padovani, the keeper trainer.

The 47-year-old left his position at MC Oran, an Algerian club, to take charge of the Super Eagles.

In 2024, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania will co-host the African Nations Championship, where he will assume a supervisory position.
