Week one of the maiden edition of the Gambia Youth League Cup 2025 wrapped up on Sunday, 12th January 2024, at the Ousman Saho football field in Old Yundum.

Team Menmar and Medina United played out an entertaining 1-1 draw today following a fast-paced display of skills with Team Menmar controlling the tempo and creating chances, but couldn’t convert them.

Medina United gradually got into the game and took the lead in the 65th-minute. Their lead was short-lived as Team Menmar restored parity 3 minutes later. After some brilliant display of skills and beautiful inter change passes by both sides, the game ended all square at full-time.

Seventeen (17) goals were scored in five matches, averaging 3 goals per game. The matches of week two will commence on Friday, 17th January, to Sunday 19th January 2024, with five matches scheduled.
