Premier League Everton Defeat Brighton To Continue Resurgence Under Moyes

Everton defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 1-0, thanks to a penalty kick in the first half from Iliman Ndiaye, to move seven points clear of the relegation zone and earn just their second Premier League away victory since December 2023.

Joel Veltman, a defender for Brighton, mysteriously handled the ball under pressure from Beto, scooping it away with his right arm.

Ndiaye remained composed and converted the spot-kick in the bottom left corner. In the second half, Everton had to withstand a series of Brighton raids, but the home team, who were winning seven straight games across all competitions, was unable to overcome a determined visitors defence.
