Dstv Premiership Kaizer Chiefs to face Stellenbosch FC in a space of six days

In what will be their third game in a space of six days, Kaizer Chiefs will face Stellenbosch FC in their next Betway Premiership fixture at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on Friday night.

Chiefs kicked of the second round of their league fixture with a thrilling 2-2 home draw against AmaZulu FC at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night.

Amakhosi are still fifth on the log following Tuesday’s match, with 22 points collected from 16 games. Stellies in sixth position with 20 points after the 13 league clashes.

The Winelands team will be seeking revenge during Friday’s meeting, having going down 2-1 in the first round on 8 January at FNB Stadium. Chiefs, on the other hand, will want to avoid a three-match winless streak after picking one point in their last two encounters.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi made six changes to his starting line-up in each of the last three matches. He also gave his three new signings Tashreeq Morris, Thabo Cele and Glody Lilepo their first starts for Amakhosi on Tuesday against AmaZulu

The coach and his technical team will be happy to welcome Njabulo Blom back from his one match suspension as they prepare for this important encounter.
