African players abroad Munetsi and Nasser Djiga unlikely to make Wolves debuts

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vítor Pereira has confirmed that new signings Marshall Munetsi and Nasser Djiga are unlikely to make their debuts in the club’s upcoming FA Cup tie.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, Pereira admitted that both players need more time to adjust before they can be fully integrated into the squad.

“It’s difficult. Marshall has trained once and Djiga will train tomorrow, so we will see,” the Wolves boss stated. “It’s difficult to start Marshall, maybe I will give him some game time, but he won’t start.”

Wolves secured both Munetsi and Djiga in the January transfer window, bolstering their squad as they push for a strong finish to the season. While Pereira remains cautious about their immediate involvement, he is optimistic about what they can bring to the team.

“The squad has more balance and more solutions now,” he added. “We are physically stronger, and the club did good work, so I’m happy. They will need some time to adapt, but they are strong physically. These two players can add something to the squad.”

With a crucial cup tie ahead, Wolves will look to navigate the fixture without their latest additions fully ready. However, fans can expect Munetsi and Djiga to play key roles in the coming weeks as they settle into life at Molineux.
