Football legend Mohammed Kallon has been appointed as the next head coach of the national team by the Sierra Leone Football Association.
Most people agree that Kallon is the best and most successful football player in Sierra Leone’s history.
Kallon played for a number of elite teams during his playing career, including Inter Milan, Bologna, Genoa, Cagliari, Monaco, and Al Ittihad.
Over his career, he scored over 115 goals and had 39 caps for Sierra Leone.
Kallon, the new coach, will guide the national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament and the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament.
