Two highly anticipated clashes get match seventeen underway with rivals SC Villa and Express in action.
The Jogoos will host the Red Eagles at Prisons Grounds, Luzira in a clash mainly for bragging rights as neither looks to be in close contest for the title.
The hosts who come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Wakiso Giants lie 9th on the 16-team log with 21 points while the visitors, 2-0 losers to BUL on match 16 are third with 25 points, but a whopping 12 behind table leaders Vipers.
Express won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Nakivubo last year but have not completed a league double over their strongest rivals since the 2013/14.
At Nakivubo stadium, URA will host Maroons under the lights with either side targeting maximum points after faltering in the last outings. URA were beaten 2-0 by leaders Vipers at Kitende while Maroons drew 1-1 with Soltilo Bright Stars conceding a late equaliser at Luzira.
Alex Isabirye’s men are 5th with 24 points while Muhammad Ssenfuma’s lads are just a point behind in 7th place and a win, which will complete a double for them over URA will see them go above on the standings.
