Lazio and Napoli played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico, with substitute Boulaye Dia emerging as the hero for the home side with a dramatic late equalizer.

The game got off to an electric start as Lazio wasted no time in imposing themselves. Just six minutes in, Danish winger Gustav Isaksen found the back of the net with a well-placed finish, giving the home crowd an early reason to cheer. His goal came after a swift attacking move that caught Napoli’s defense off guard.

However, the visitors responded swiftly. In the 13th minute, Giacomo Raspadori capitalized on a defensive lapse from Lazio, slotting home a precise finish to bring Napoli level. The first half continued at a high tempo, but neither side could find the breakthrough before halftime, leaving the match delicately poised at 1-1.

Napoli came out stronger in the second half, increasing the intensity and putting Lazio under sustained pressure. Their persistence paid off in the 64th minute when Adam Marušić inadvertently turned the ball into his own net while attempting to clear a dangerous cross. The unfortunate own goal gave Napoli a 2-1 lead and silenced the home fans.

With Lazio chasing the game, Marco Baroni made attacking changes, introducing Boulaye Dia in the 74th minute. The decision proved to be a masterstroke. Just 13 minutes after stepping onto the pitch, Dia made his presence felt when a Zaccagni assist helped him put a shot past the Napoli goalkeeper in the 87th minute. His late heroics salvaged a crucial point for Lazio and denied Napoli what would have been a hard-fought away victory.

Both teams shared the spoils in a pulsating encounter that kept fans on the edge of their seats. While Napoli will rue their missed opportunity to take all three points, Lazio will take solace in the resilience they showed to fight back in the dying minutes of the match.
