Nigeria Premier League Bassey Goal For Fulham Dents Forest Top Four Push

Super Eagles Defender Calvin Bassey’s first goal almost a year was enough for Fulham to dent Nottingham Forest top hope following a 2-1 win in Saturday Premier League game.

Chris Wood scored the visitors’ 18th league goal of the season, but Bassey’s well-directed header in the 62nd minute left Forest without a goal.

Smith, Emile At Craven Cottage, Rowe headed in Adama Traore’s cross to give Fulham the lead early on, but Wood’s exquisite goal before halftime tied the score.

Following Bassey’s strike, Forest failed to create much of an impact, and a vibrant Fulham team had multiple opportunities to extend their advantage.

With 39 points from 25 games, Fulham is well in the running for European qualifying, while Forest is still in third position with 47 points.

With just two attempts on goal at a foggy Craven Cottage, Nuno Espirito Santo’s Forest team couldn’t really complain about the result.
