Mathare United have confirmed the signing of veteran defender Elvis Ronack from Division Two side Plantech. The former Gor Mahia defender puts pen to paper on a short-term year-long deal.

A winner of the Premier League with Gor, Ronack, who began his career with Kisumu’s PALOS FC, has also featured for Sofapaka and Nzoia Sugar in the top flight.

A mix-up with his release following Nzoia’s relegation from the Premier League last season saw the towering defender begin the 2024/25 season with Plantech.

Ronack becomes Mathare’s seventh mid-season signing and will link up with Sammy Imbuye, whom he shared a dressing room with during their days at Sofapaka.
