Super Eagles forward Gift Orban had a mixed night after scoring a goal but being hurt during Hoffenheim’s 3-1 victory over Werder Bremen on the road.
Orban joined the Bundesliga team from Olympique Lyon, a French Ligue 1 team, during the winter transfer window.
His outstanding performances have made him an immediate vital player.

Werder Bremen took the lead early in the game thanks to a regrettable own goal by Nsoki.
However, Hoffenheim equalised by a goal from Anton Stach in the 28th minute.
Just before halftime, Thomas Bischol gave the visitors the lead in the 44th minute, making it 2-1.
Orban subsequently scored a well-executed goal in the 64th minute to complete the win.
But the Nigerian striker’s evening was cut short as an injury forced him off the pitch in the 75th minute.
Hoffenheim held well to earn all three points in spite of his absence.
