Women's AFCON Sierra Queens Arrive Safely in Lome, Togo, for WAFCON 2026 Qualifiers

The Sierra Leone Women’s National Team, Sierra Queens, has safely arrived in Lomé, Togo, ahead of their crucial double-header against the Amazons of Benin in the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers.

The team is set to face Benin in the first leg on February 20, 2025, before traveling to Monrovia, Liberia, for the return leg on February 24, 2025.

The delegation, led by SLFA Executive Committee member Haja Ramatulai Kamara, is focused on securing a strong result in the away fixture to boost their chances of making history by qualifying for the tournament in Morocco.

Sierra Leone is determined to make history by qualifying for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations for the first time. A strong performance against Benin will bring them one step closer to achieving that goal.
