Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC have officially parted ways with centre-back Emmanuel Cudjoe.
Speaking in an interview on a local Radio station, the defender revealed that he was informed by the club that his contract was being terminated based on directives from club president Moses Armah. According to Cudjoe, the decision was influenced by allegations made by some of his teammates.
“The president based his decision on hearsay,” Cudjoe stated. “They didn’t even pay my February salary. The only money I received was my signing-on fee for this season.”
The player’s departure comes as a surprise, as there had been no prior indications of dissatisfaction from the club regarding his performances or conduct. Medeama SC, however, is yet to officially comment on the reasons behind the contract termination.
Cudjoe’s exit adds to the growing list of player movements within Medeama SC as they continue to restructure their squad for the remainder of the season.
